The Sprinter Observation

Today's workout was 5x1200m at 3K to 5K pace with 600m resting jog. This workout was an improvement from Wednesday's failed workout.... but honestly only because I finished it. I felt horrible during the workout. I started off where I wanted to be and got progressively slower throughout the entire workout. I almost got beat by the kid that always runs behind Joe Hegger (he's a cool dude, just don't know his name lol), but managed to stay ahead of him. So this was straight trash, I was just happy to finish because I really wanted to drop out. But once again, everyone (well besides Paolo at least) had a trash workout, so at least I'm not the only one.

The only other interesting part of today was making an observations on the sprinters. I noticed that they don't really run that much lmao. They do a half mile warm up and then dick around for a super long time and then maybe get a few fast reps to show that they're doing something. Ok I can't trash on the sprinters too much, they look like they're having a good time (Shoutout to Slumped Steve), but it was a very interesting study.

Overall, I'm looking forward to making a comeback on Wednesday. I'll likely have to do the workout alone, but I really want to have a good one finally. I also realized that the Tower Guard 5K is this week, but probably not going to run it this run :(. It's been a fun time, but ultimately why do I even run it lol?
