Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Currently logging this while watching the NCAA Swimming Championships (rip bowling). Caeleb Dressel just shattered the NCAA and American record in the 50 free that he set in prelims this morning (which was a 18.11) with a 17.8 (!) to lead off Florida winning the 4x50 free relay. For comparison for you non-swimmers, my PR in the 50 free is a 25.xx, and the high school state winning time in MN is usually 21.xx. And the crazy thing is that Dressel has another chance to break the record when he competes in the individual 50 free later tonight. Also, the swim meet is being held at my old stomping grounds at the U of M (Minnesota) where I swam a lot when I was younger. Another thing about this meet is that Texas ran away with the ship last year but it is looking to be wide open for a number of teams to win this year. Going to be a really exciting weekend.
For those of you who didn't know, swimming might actually be my favorite sport to watch. It is definitely my favorite sport to watch at the Olympics.
Anyways, today's run was through the good old farms. Kept the pace relaxed. Good shit.
