Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 90 and then Thunderstorm
Comments:
Drove the girls to GDS LMS so they could watch a Caberet show. Got caught up talking with Laura and watching the skies darken. Eventually headed off down MacArthur unsure where I'd go. It was hot and humid, but the coming storm was exciting. I found myself going down the Crescent and under Whitehurst Freeway. Rain came blowing in and I skirted in and out of it as I crossed K Street and headed up 29th to the canal. Had to detour one closed section, but basically returned along a rain soaked and flooded tow path as the rain drenched everything and my pace quickened. I never felt great and I can't claim to have been going all that fast, but I was probably around 7 flat pace and enjoying myself quite a bit in the cooling rain. Finished back at GDS with a little slow jog around the parking lots to get to 30 minutes or so. Left knee has been achy off and on of late, and the core muscle that leads from my groin up to my abdomen on the right side continues to be bad, as it has for the past two or more months. Still,it was very nice and needed run.
