What's up everyone?! I've taken my week off and I'm officially back to the log (the one log I posted last week doesn't count as a comeback lolllllll).

I wanted to welcome all of the newcomers to the log, it's great to see so many new faces! The log is great place to talk a little bit about running and a lot more drunken Friday night adventures. It's definitely a great time! Also, I'm sure you all saw Stephanie's post, but 500 mile club starts on Memorial day and ends on Labor Day, so it's time to get those miles in (I know I'm starting a week late, but I'll still be able to get those miles in lol). I'm going to likely be putting up mileage rankings for everyone every week in a discussion forum so look out for that. Also we are working on a summer training plan pretty SOON, so also look out for that!

As for life, things going really well. I've been working a dead-end construction job until my internship starts next week (@TCook, @Garmin, @Broken Ankles, hit me up for some runs in Rochester Hills!). I've been going up to East Lansing a lot, and I've been playing hella Mario Kart, when I can. I've started getting addicted to time trial mode and trying to beat records, but once you see the pros drop a 1:08 on Luigi Circuit and you can't even drop a sub 1:20, life is hard. But moneys been rolling in, life has been solid, and I'm looking forward to starting training for my final cross country season.

Today's run was my first run in 8 day, since the marathon. I ran 6 miles on my Discount Notre Dame Route in Grand beach. My legs felt really good and recovered, but my breathing felt really rough. I guess I'm a little out of shape, but I'm sure I'll be back to feeling normal within the next 3-5 days. I'm beginning training for my last cross country season ever, as well as the Chicago Rock N Roll Half Marathon again in July. I definitely have the long distance bug and want to keep running those long races!

But sorry for the long log, but also I'm sure there will be many longer ones RIP. Glad to be back and hope to see @Austin @Tyler back soon too.

Remember, as a message to everyone, don't be a seasonal logger! Log culture doesn't end after Labor Day. That is all.
