Andy was back in town from Portugal today so he and I went for one of our epic summer bike rides. Ended up going way longer than we had planned and getting pretty hungry and thirsty, but fortunately, we found an ice cream shop with massive servings. I was definitely feeling Sunday's mountain run the whole time, plus yesterday's run which I fear did more harm than good in my recovery. I kept lagging behind during the ride until the last 45 minutes when I booked it full throttle because we were late for Andy to meet his wife for dinner. Our rides always seem to end like that. Felt like a tempo run honestly with me counting down the minutes till I estimated we'd be back at the car. Still, go to see some really pretty places up on the North Shore with some awesome views of Ipswich Bay. Afterward, my whole body felt beat up and I had trouble standing up straight like my lower back was too tired to hold me, though wasn't painful, just weakened. Still feeling it the next morning in spite of sleeping for 10 hours.
