Aggressive Driver with a Casual Expression

June 14, 2018 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 80s

Comments:
Since I’ve moved to Rochester Hills for the summer, I’ve had to really get used to the constant traffic over here. I’m usually a pretty passive driver, but I’ve realized to survive out here you need to be more aggressive. So just in 4 days, I’ve become a much more aggressive driver.... with a casual expression (top 10 lyric of 2018, don’t @ me). Left turns used to be my enemy, but now I welcome them with the same rage that Anakin Skywalker had when he was thinking that Obi Wan wanted to turn Padme against him. Underrated scene, perhaps a GOAT for the film industry as a whole.

Anyways today I decided to try out Clinton River Trail. And to be honest, I wasn’t a big fan. Granted I only ran partially on the trail as I accidentally ran into some random ass neighborhood. But sorry @Garmin maybe I didn’t run on it long enough, but I liked Paint Creek a lot better. There was hardly any shade on this run, I had to run over 75 (takes away the good ol trail atmosphere), and there weren’t as many people and dogs on it. 4/10 experience but maybe I was on the wrong part of the trail, I don’t know.

The actual run didn’t feel great. I was really struggling towards the last half of the run, due to the heat. Still managed to pull through and have a solid day. Tomorrow I’ll either run in the morning or not at all, because I’m going up north with Liz this weekend. So there may or may not be a morning treadmill log. We shall see.
