Humidity Level: 99

June 16, 2018 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 85 deg and 68% humidity

Comments:
Ok, the the posted humidity % doesn't to it justice. The air was was more moist than when Austin and Natalie find out they are in the same underwater basket weaving class.

But seriously, just 4 miles in and my socks were saturated. And I never stepped in any puddles. By the end my shoes were straight sloshing on the roads and I was spraying sweat off my arms with every arm swing. A take that I will stand by until I die is that no one sweats harder than me. When I got home I was able to get a good fluid ounce of sweat just out of socks. My headband and shorts were something else.

Another take that I continue to stand by is that you can hold your normal pace no matter how hot or humid it is as long as the run is under 70 minutes and you hydrate beforehand. If it's over 70 minutes and you didn't drink any water before the run then all bets are off. I didn't start to struggle in this run until the very end as I was approaching 70 minutes.

One last thing: I have decided to retire my quote, "Sometimes you gotta ask yourself how good you want to be" and am instead replacing it with, "You ALWAYS gotta be asking yourself how good you want to be."

Also just hit 1001 miles of running on the year woohoo! Well on pace to hit 2018 miles by Dec. 31.
