Ben Lambert has changed

Comments:
Solid night with Ben Lambert and Chase Taylor. We hung out on the UW Terrace, drank beer, and discussed our lives and the MSURC. As you probs know, Chase and Ben are both super veterans of the MSURC. I learned loads of dirty secrets about the club from the early Ben and Chase days that I can't post here. It's so crazy to see how the club has transformed from their days to now. Ben Lambert was given read-access to the treasury from Squanda and has currently read through about January. Just wait until he hits March...

But man has Ben Lambert changed. He only had one pitcher which he drank very slowly and after that, at about 10:00pm, he called it quits. I was still down for more drinking since this isn't something I do often anymore but since he and Chase were heading home I decided I should too. Remember, I do not live close to the "fun" stuff here so I had quite the trek home.

Idc what my salary is. I am not going to pay for transportation unless it is absolutely necessary. I got two legs that work fairly well and as long as the distance isn't longer than anything I would normally run I'm just gonna run it. Always gotta be asking yourself how good you want to be. It would have been an Charmin Ultra Soft mentality to say "ah, running is hard and my stomach is full of beer. I just want someone to drive me" wah wah. Go cry me a river. What character does that build? None.

So after walking a bit of ways to the trail, I began running in my plaid cargo shorts and Bearpath Golf & Country Club golf shirt. Protip: ALWAYS wear running shoes. I had my old Pegasus's on (the ones with over 1000 miles on them) so I was able to run comfortably. Most of the trail did not have any light so I was running in almost complete darkness. Luckily the trail goes mostly straight so it wasn't much of a problem. Plus there was a lot of lightning bugs out which was fun to look at.

Ngl though, I did have to stop 3 times for short breaks. Running in plaid cargo shorts with a stomach full of beer is not as easy as it sounds. Plus I didn't have quite the adrenaline as I did when I ran home in PCB over spring break.

Good shit overall. Probs won't be running tomorrow now lol.
