Coach Dad

June 25, 2018 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 70s

Comments:
Today, I drove 40 minutes up to Almont to meet up with Coach Diener for practice. I accidentally missed him to run with Charles last week, so I wanted to see how Wes could run a team.

The turnout for a summer, voluntary practice was pretty good for a D3 school. There were 6-7 guys and 10+ girls. Solid numbers. I rolled up with my Nike neon headband, shortest shorts I could find, and my red USA tank top trying to look legit as possible. These kids had no idea who the fuck I was, until Wes told them I was the guy who made the XC documentary. Apparently much of Almont's team had seen that video, so SKKKKKRRRR SKKRRRRR.

I ended up running with Almont's 3 elite kids. Wes stayed back to run with the girls. We ran 5 miles around a loop in Almont. 2 of them stuck with me and we were rocking some mad Paolo pace. The other one stayed behind us, came back and JBed us for half a mile, and then dropped back. L. The other 2 were pretty chill, I was just trying to recruit for the running club and hear about their coaching experience with Wes. Apparently, they call him Coach Dad lmao. Classic stuff. But all and all, they like Wes and are trying to get good so I respect that.

After that portion of the run, I joined the team for strides. Since I took the easy run easy, I big dicked them in the strides. Sorry Coach D, gotta show these kids. I did, however, avoid doing core because I'm just not about that life. And those kids could probably big dick me in planks, so can't show them any signs of weakness.

After that, I ran an additional 3 miles with Wes to get 8 miles in for the day. Shoutout to Wes for keeping together a good XC program for the summer and for following his dreams in Weberville later in the year. Big moves for Coach D, so very proud. I'll probably try to make it out to Almont every few weeks if possible.

In other news, tomorrow I'm being paid to go to a Toledo MudHeads baseball game. Free food and maybe boos included too SKKRRRRR SKKKKRRRR. This is definitely a BIG business wardog move, so I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow. Also, I hung out with Maginste's youngest brother and watched him play Fortnight. It may or may not have peaked my interest (ok it did), so I'm gonna play some more tomorrow. Life has changed in Rochester Hills. Man what a ride today was, stay tuned!

EDIT: Also this was technically an afternoon run (it ranged from 7 to 8:30ish overall), but I'm tired of my logs being bottom to mid page, since i post them late.

EDIT 2: Also @BJ what the fuck was your log lmao. What even was that
