Comments:
Today, I ran with the Ginste brothers- Jack and Josh. They had been wanting to go on a run with me for a while, so I finally gave them a shot. I know both of them weren't in good shape, so I didn't have a lot of expectation, but it ended up being a very interesting run.

So, Jack is 17 and Josh is probably 14. Jack was planning on running 4 miles with me, while Josh was only planning on 1. Before we started off the run, Josh ran inside and grabbed 5-6 oreos lmao. He was pretty inspired by my Chocolate Milk Mile video, so he claimed it was for training. So here I am, trying to push a normal pace with a kid eating oreos lol. I respect it though, he knew that he wouldn't be able to keep up, so he had to show us off somehow. I ended up having to JB them, because they were moving pretty slow. Josh stuck to his word and stopped at 1 mile in about 7:58 and all of his oreos were gone. Animal.

Jack went with me for another mile. But he still wasn't in the best shape and the last week he straight up managed to rupture his ear drum. So as I was trying to keep up conversion and repeat myself a lot (he deadass can't hear anything out of one ear lmao), I noticed he was dying off. At about 1.8 miles, he told me to go another mile forward and that he'd be waiting for me. I told him "I don't man, that's like 15 minutes of waiting around". But he was totally ok with it, so I got back ahead of him and turned around at Adams.

Sure enough, he was waiting for me at the same spot 15 minutes or so later. We ended up running back to their house and I went one more mile to get 6 in for the day. Apparent my second to last mile with Jack was like 8:18 kms, so I made sure to push a sub 7. Which is really hard these day, i've pretty much completely adapted to Paolo pace.

But overall, a very sporadic run. When I was with the Ginste brother, I was anywhere from 7:44 to 8:18 and when I was alone I was anywhere from 6:49 to 7:15. I didn't feel great on this run and might actually need to get new shoes soon. It's either the miles or the shoes, I don't really know. But ya know, put in the work.
