Today, I did a 2 mile warmup, 4 mile tempo, and 2 mile cool down. It was pretty rainy from the get-go, but as i told Maginste's mom before I left the house "Rain or shine, still gotta grind".
I ran all of the workout on an out and back on Tienken. I didn't focus too hard on hitting splits and just tried to feel good. My legs have been feeling like straight garbage since last Thursday though. I think it might be the new shoes honestly, but I'm not really sure. I'm hoping that I feel recovered by the time Mattawan comes around on Saturday.
My splits ended up being 5:50, 6:00, 5:52, and 5:40. So not bad splits, but I wish it felt better in the legs. Just a lot of soreness. Lowkey hoping to average faster than that for the Crim, but I guess we shall see.
Overall, it was a good, wet workout. For a more entertaining log about Wes bringing pro Brooks athletes to Almont's practice and forcing Wes and I into a grudging 100m duel, refer to my Monday log. It's probably on the 2nd page now, I got a little behind fam.
