Amethyst Brook

August 5, 2018 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
I am really close to the trails on this side of town. I had to wait until it got cooler out. Heat advisory in effect with like 100% humidity. Last night it was really foggy out at midnight, which was kinda cool, but that shows how moist it is. Also I had to work through my Taco Bell lunch. Anyways, starting out, I felt great. I think Im in the Sunderland style now, where a good run is a refresher, a release. Its just production, then me and my runs now. I took it easy on the trails since they have a lot of roots. The bridge was out too, so I just wandered around for a while. On the way back, cut around Fort River and went down the Whitney to add on a little bit. Im glad I did, got rolling there. Coming up the hill at the end hit me though and I started to slow the pace. No aches or pains like the last few days. I was drenched when I got back too. This humidity is insane.

Essentials: Stretch

Had my G-rade out there already and downed it. I took a while to stretch, just chillin on the grass. It was nicer when I got back, just a pleasant summer evening. Felt good to get these miles in. Made me thing about another half. Ill cut it close for Hartford, but Boston has one at that time, and so does Amherst. I think training for one can keep me centered as I bust through this semester.
