Big Improvements

During the first mile of this run, my achilles pain returned and I had all the negative thoughts run through my head. I was so close to shutting it down, walking home, and reevaluating my plan for next weekend. I was thinking I would take more days off from running and not do the marathon at all, and instead would head to EL for big things since I am going to bored AF next weekend.

BUT, about a mile in the pain subsided. Guess it just took some time for the tendons n shit to loosen up? Idk. I am still out of shape of course though. But I am better than yesterday and that's all I can ask for. Got some weight training in from soaking my shoes when I ran through midcalf-deep water a few times 'cause there was some big flooding happening around here. Honestly did not think it was that bad until I got a notification on Facebook telling me to indicate that I was safe lol.

In other news, I don't know what I am going to do at the office tomorrow and the week. I have completed all my training but I can't take the exams I need until way later because all the exam sessions are full from so many new hires. It's actually quite ridiculous and bad because I can't be assigned any real, big work until I pass the exams I need to take.

Also, I put in the $55 deposit to officially accept my spot on Team USA today. Still won't feel real though until I am actually registered for the race and have my Team USA kit in my hands. So anxious but delayed gratification is important.
