Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Last run before the 26.2 on Saturday morning. Feeling ok, but my oh my has my training been supremely wack. Just coming off an injury, didn't do a single run over 13.1 miles since mid May, and only averaged about 30 miles/week these past 5 weeks. Honestly terrified for my legs from the pounding they're about to receive.

BUT, let's not forget my training plan for my first marathon back in 2014 that went something like this:

-Trained for the 3200m on the track off of like 30 miles/week. Ran a shitty 10:06 to end my HS career.
-Over the next 17 days after that I did a 13.1 miler, a 11.8 miler, and a 10 miler. Everything else was between 5-7 milers. Pace varied from 6:37/mile to 7:30/mile. No workouts. No doubles. 4 rest days.
-Ran 2:46 marathon

Also just took a look at my splits from that race. Miles 17-22 were off the chain:
17 – 6:08
18 – 6:03
19 – 6:06
20 – 6:08
21 – 6:08
22 – 6:06

My first mile was the slowest of all at 6:42.

So based off all that above, maybe I'll be alright. We shall find out!

I was seriously considering wearing my Begone Thot shirt for the race since my Paul Chelimo singlet is apparently still in Florida waiting to be shipped. But my Dad is coming to watch and will be taking pictures and probably wouldn't appreciate me advertising the #BegoneThot movement.


Run is split into two runs bc I had to unleash a massive load. Was fortunate enough to run by a public park that ACTUALLY had an unlocked toilet I could use. Also fairly terrified of bowels problems coming up on Saturday morning but I was fine for the two marathons I have done previously so I probably shouldn't worry too much about that.
