Hard Reset

It's about that time I get back to this running thing. My achilles is still sorta troublesome but I don't feel anything when running. It only hurts when I crouch down and lean forward on my knees to get a stretch in the lower calf area. So I'm not too worried about it. It might just be super tight or whatever. I'll continue to monitor it. The good thing though is that it doesn't affect my running.

This past week of doing nothing was ok. Still sucked but didn't suck as much as my last week off because this break was intentional.

My next big race is Boston 2019. I haven't come up with a training plan yet but I'll figure that out in like a month once I have built some of my base back. From now until April I plan on also continuing to bike/swim casually to keep myself busy and in good shape.

But lawd I have gained weight from doing nothing this past week. And whatever ab muscles I had before have disappeared. Pretty depressing but it's all a part of the process. I don't PLAN on taking 3+ days off in a row until after Boston. That's quite the journey from now so I'mma make sure I take things easy this month and that I do take appropriate days off in my training and listen to my body to prevent burnout.
