Well it looks like your legs are recovered pretty well from the half!
Wednesday was fast.!!
So not sure how you will feel coming back from Phoenix, but I do know that if you can run 13.1 miles at 8 min pace,you can run this 5k at a good clip.
It’s still blazing here, and I know your legs are not completely fresh, but I think if you take the first mile to go out between 7:15 and 7:25 pace, you will feel pretty comfortable to push up the hill beginning in mile 2. Use the crowds energy to make the first 1.5 miles feel pretty easy.


I also suggest that By mile 2, do not look own or even worry about pace. Push the uphill a bit knowing that you got almost a half mile of downhill coming. Just run and try to pass any stupid people that went out too fast.

The 3rd mile is hard. We know this. Do what you can to maintain pace by hanging on to other runners and again trying to pass anyone you see ahead!

We will have more races to plan I hope, but remember this is just supposed to be a good effort and a great start to the fall/winter!!!
