Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Workout was 12 min progression (4min at steady state, tempo, and slightly faster than tempo) and then a 10 min break and 4x1200 w/ 2 min rest also increasing in pace, starting from the pace of the end of the progression. I had asked to be in the 18 min group for the progression but Dusty told me to stick with 12. That part felt super smooth and easy. The group was just me Elizabeth and wyndom and we stuck together for that section, which just felt so strong. First 1200 was 5:00, net downhill I think. 2nd was 5:04, i think net uphill. 3rd was where it started to hit me, but managed to speed up a little for 4:58, and then the 4th was really hard but I felt like I really managed to push it despite my legs locking up a little going up the hill. Overall a really good workout where my form held up and I felt recovered before the start of the next rep. I was happy with my ability to push myself when I was already tired also. This was my first real good workout since getting back to campus, so I’m feelign a lot better about where I’m at fitness wise. After dinner I went to yoga, which also was really nice.
