Exploring the Edge

Comments:
Ran through a neighborhood perched along the edge of a steep hillside, not quite a cliff, but steep enough that it would be very hard to build on. Its interesting how the houses here are still in an urban area, probably 10 minutes from downtown, yet start to be intermixed with pastures and fields. The houses on the edge of Sarajevo are what I would call middle class: glass windows, two stories, probably a couple rooms on each floor, but definitely modest. Many have piles of wood outside which is probably what they'll burn in the winter to keep warm. The road is paved, though extremely narrow, and sometimes in poor condition. I still don't quite understand how cars pass each other, even though I've seen it happen. I think the fabric of space-time magically expands itself and then closes up again once the cars have passed each other.
