Comments:
Ran to AU for the track workout with Mia, Lucia, and Sophie. When I got there I suddenly started feeling absolutely horrible with a really bad stitch in my side and really bad stomach pain. I think because I was exhausted today and drank coffee which I never do and it probably just messed up my stomach. I thought I might have to skip the workout, but happily it started feeling better after I waited for 15 minutes and in the mean time I got to help avoid a minor crises and felt like a good senior!!! Then I jumped in with Lyra, EJ, and Max to do 5 400s because running didn't make my stomach hurt anymore. Despite the slight pain, I felt really controlled and smooth on the first 3, took the fourth slower with Lyra, and then not as great on the 5th, but still fine. Very even 400s thought! All in all very satisfied with this workout for a day where I thought I might have to skip it completely! As always, I'm feeling so inspired by watching how hard everyone works on the track. Everyone was giving it their all, and I love being able to watch it. Hung out with Lyra and Lauren after and cheered for other groups because that's the best part of track workouts and then ran back with them and EJ. Had a really nice talk with Nomi while stretching about how empowering xc is and how lovely it is to look around and see everyone smiling after a workout. I adore this team.
