Up, up, and away!

October 3, 2018 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Decided to explore the neighborhood above my apartment. I met a hunched over old lady carry a bag of firewood who gave me a magic stick to fend off stray dogs. Worked pretty well. I found myself going from road to road, many of which had dead ends, in an attempt to trace a route along the upper edge of where the houses reached along the hillside. Eventually, I found myself on a dead-end road that had a trail leading out of it and I followed this trail up above the last houses through meadows and woods and rocks until I emerged at the bobsled track! The morning was foggy and cool with no hikers or picnickers in sight so I had the historic track all to myself. I made my way up it stopping for photos and then turned around and raced down it as fast as I safely could, allowing for the pine needles and damp concrete. It felt almost like I was in an Olympic sport of my own. Then I made my way back to my house at a brisk clip, which felt easy due to the steep downhill and planted the magic dog-repellent stick in the garden across my house.
