Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
I honestly do not know much about this course or how hillly it is, but I highly suggest that you get out in front of slower runners and try to stay with a crowd that is going somewhere in the low 7’s or even high 6’s.
Try not to waste any energy at all in that first mile. Run relaxed knowing that at this point, you are fit enough to go faster.

Take some chances at mile 2. Again, I’m not sure about hills, but try to get up and over any hills as quick as you can knowing you can recover on the downhill.

We have certainly done enough hills at Baseline and run club to leave you ready for a hilly course.
The main thing I want you to focus on in this race is catching and passing other runners. Many many will go out too fast and die out by mile 2.
If you stay controlled, you can really do some damage and use the crowds energy to run some fast splits!!

Weather, terrain and hills will all make a difference but this is Another chance to work on our 5k goals so let’s take it!!

well that went better than I thought it would. Felt tired the whole day due to lack of sleep (watching world series)

did ok considering... was surprised that I was under 23 when I get near the end.
