Turned The Day Around

I was in a very sad mood again at the beginning of practice because not being able to run is really getting me down, and while I waited for a bike, Ethan kindly listened to me be sad and made a valiant effort to make me feel better. I, however, was pretty stuck in a self-pitying mood until I decided to pull myself out of it. Ethan agreed to lead me through some strength and that worked—it gave me some much needed endorphins and made me feel strong and much happier. We did: A pushup/plank sporadic progression with leg lifts/arm raises mixed in, probably for a couple minutes, 15 pike leg lifts, 10 "mountain climber???" (don't know what to call them, my hands were on the ground and my feet were in a stretchy band, and I fell on my face the first few attempts), 30 seconds of 6 inches, some slow and fast bicycling, a 1:30 wallsit, and maybe something else? Felt very proud of myself afterwords and like I'd worked hard without running! Then did the bike workout (16*1 min pickup, one minute easy with pickups at alternating resistances). That was fine too because Lyra and Hailey came back and hung out with me. Good day!
