5 x mile progression w/ .5 mile recovery at STA

Comments:
Went to the STA track for my workout. Weitzner was nice enough to show up and take splits and cheer which was awesome and really helped me out.

Felt pretty good during warmups. Conditions were perfect, 55 degrees and sunny. There was a bad headwind on the final straightaway every time though.

The goal was to run the first one at 15 seconds faster than race pace (8k), then the next at 8k pace, and then progressively work back up to the initial split. I assumed that my 8k pace would be about 5:55, which is a bit faster, but I was on a track so I thought that would be okay.

I ran a stupid workout. I was feeling good and didn't hold myself back to hit the times I was supposed to hit. Especially on the last one. My 400 splits were also not the most even I could've done. It was really hard doing this on my own.

My pacing aside, I felt amazing. I feel like I'm in great shape. I feel stronger than ever. I can't wait for conferences next weekend. Also, I very much enjoyed Weitzner's company for what would have otherwise been a very disgusting workout, and I'm really thankful he came to cheer me on and help me out.
