Got to the Fark after a bus ride full of enjoyable Anthony CD music. A real upgrade from the cassettes that he's had in past years. It was a gorgeous day and we gathered for a pre-run talk around a slightly suspect cardboard box which turned out (as Ana and I expected) to hold Matt. Even though I wasn't too surprised because of my honed detectiving skills, his reveal was still so much fun! Running the course was also amazing because it was the first time I've run in 10 days. Shins still hurt, but it didn't matter. I was with a group of my favorite people in one of my all time favorite places and I felt like I was flying! There were absolutely no leaves falling which was sad, but I still enjoyed myself immensely. My favorite part of the day was sprinting downhill for 30 seconds before getting on the bus to grab my water bottle. It's hard to explain, but I just kept going faster and it was perfect weather, and I just felt amazing and overjoyed and like I could sprint forever. I'm not doing the feeling justice, but it was pretty great. Derwood is pretty special, and I can't wait to be there with all of you amazing people on Saturday.
