Comments:
Met up with Hannah "got all the assistant coaches jobs" Avidon before practice for a workout on the exercise bike, since she's injured and I hadn't gotten a chance to run with her yet. We did 6x20 seconds, then 3x40seconds, and then another 6x20 seconds which I think for her is roughly equivalent to 6 laps of "jog the turns sprint the straightaways" plus three 200s. I actually didn't have a workout planned when I showed up and instead made it up as I went along. I started out just watching but then got bored and wanted to motivate her so I tried doing shuttle runs back and forth with some medicine balls during the pickups, which then morphed into doing a strange slalom run-dance around some obstacles. It probably made the pickups harder for her since she was laughing so hard, so overall it contributed to her workout. For the last 2/3 of the workout, however, I joined her on the bike, which was helpful since I had a better sense of how hard a workout I was imposing. I'm not crazy about the exercise bike, but it can be a lot of fun when you have someone else doing it with you.
Finished the workout drenched in sweat, and headed off for some more spontaneous Irish dancing with Nomi in the wrestling room which most of the runners strangely seemed to not to notice.
