Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Felt like running today. The temp was in the 40s, the sky was sunny, the air clear, and I had consumed approximately 6000 calories since my last run. It was time. I headed out toward to ferry terminal in Woods Hole where there's a lovely statue of Rachel Carson sitting on a bench I discovered last year (see Facebook for photo). After standing around appreciating the statue for 5 minutes I then headed up the coast listening to a This American Life podcast about Newt Gingrich's rise to power in the 1980s, picking up the pace to a brisk low-7s I think though I wasn't actually measuring it, and eventually curved back around toward home listening to a New Yorker Radio Hour piece about El Chapo. My legs felt so good, and I would have gone even longer except that my sister and her boyfriend are leaving tonight to head back to California and I didn't want to lose too much time that I could have spent hanging out with them. I didn't even feel tired when I finished. Ready for more!
p.s. "i love when people reply to things [that other people have written] in their own logs" (A. Gunther, 2018). I agree.
