Typical winter progression run

December 8, 2018 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 40ish?

Comments:
With about an hour until we had to leave to see Anna dance, Leah B and I decided to rake some leaves, and then run "around the block." She and I took a decent pace up to McKinley, over to 39th and back to Legation and 41st to complete a 7:30 rectangle of three blocks. She peeled off and I rushed at a building pace to the golf course where I took the nature trail until it got too soggy and jumped out. I basically looped that first long hole and returned in a wintry sunset along the fairway. Finished down Conn Ave and up Livingston in 1:49 to complete the run in 25:59 and meet my goal of getting home before 26:00. Felt pretty good, but along Conn Ave where I usually feel great, upright, and fast, i felt like my legs weren't yet in shape and that while I was going fast, I didn't have the cadence I sought. I am also sick and tired of my weak right hip/groin. Still, these are the winter runs I seek. Was impressed too, by Leah's pace and willingness to run on the weekend.
