Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Packed running clothes with the plan to run outside, but when we got to Richmond everything was super muddy and also there was the constant sound of gunshots (which the caretakers claimed was just target practice, but still made me nervous), so my dad took my sister and me to a nearby gym (really a small, one-room facility). Isabel ran/walked on a treadmill next to me (which I was very proud of her for) while I biked for 25 minutes and then I switched to the treadmill to run for 20. Both machines were fancy ones that actually worked (@taylorbrown), and they had the feature that shows you where you'd be if you were running on a track which is really motivating. I got kind of absorbed by that when running, and wanted to get around the screen-track faster, and also I haven't done a workout yet over break, so I increased the speed each lap going from 10 minute pace to 7:30 pace for a lap!!! Finished feeling very proud of myself and surprisingly good, though very sweaty because I only brought cold weather running clothes.
