Met Sophia at Wilson for an aquajog which I was very happy about because I hadn't planned ahead, so I thought I was gonna be alone. She tends to get everywhere super early and I tend to get places more-than-fashionably late, so we had a competition to see if I could get there a minute early and she could get there a minute late. I would like everyone to know that I WON! She was there a few minutes before me even. I did have to build in 20 extra minutes to what I thought getting ready would take though to get me there when I wanted to which makes me concerned about my natural sense of time. But I still won! ;) I made the aquajog into my hill workout (8*1.5 minute pickups) while she went steady which made conversation a bit challenging because every couple minutes I'd make her talk when I was doing a pickup, and then when I was done we'd switch conversations so I could talk. Fun though, and very glad to have company. The concept of a hill workout in a pool is still weird to me, but I tried to model my pickups after hills (slower but harder for the first minute and faster for the last 30 seconds). Felt hard, so I think I did a good job. Had a 10 minute break in the middle when my nose decided to randomly start bleeding because that's something I really needed to happen in the middle of a pool workout.
