First Call

Comments:
First ~trojan invitational~ today! I am happy with my race, despite the scattered warm-up and general feeling of confusion.
So the 4x8 was supposed to go off at 9, but the meet officials decided to put the boys hurdles before us. Then, when they said first call, we could not check in (after already having done our striders). Then, we couldn't get our hip number. They combined and un-combined heats and then an official yelled at me for doing a strider during Maddi's leg (so I was cold)..... yay.
The race itself felt difficult but I don't think I was able to access the working as hard as I could feeling in races. My core just felt cold and I kept feeling like I could go faster, but my body wasn't cooperating. I passed a girl in the first 300 meters and then started getting complacent. I'm #hungry for more meets and more 8s.

Next 800, I want to work on the back straightaway on the second lap.
Splits were 88 and 97 (yiiikes). It's still early. Was kind of excited to race the 4x4 but oh well.
