Ms. Kirsch Goes to Washington

April 14, 2019 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Ana and I enjoyed a virtual tour of the workings of the United States House of Representatives, a tour de force if you will, courtesy of a Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin (D)’s youngest legislative aide. As Isabel regained us with stories I led us three through a series of back allies, ultimately arriving at a gate to back yard which happened to say 3302 Rittenhouse on it. We stretched on my parents’ back porch deck. Feeling loose and light, though a bit sleepy.

Also, since I didn’t mention it yesterday, congratulations to Hannah, Mia, Jeff, and Maddi for speculators PRs and of course to Ruby who is the first sprinter I’ve ever known to run a negative split in her first distance race. Can we get that girl onto running-log already? Cause that’s what makes you a true distance runner. Also really proud of Ana-Sophia and Ana for their great pacing under tough conditions and to Camilla for being awesome (I don’t remember much about your race cause it was the first one of the day but you were a endless source of amusement), and Arthur for an aggressive race in the hot sun, and to Sophie and Benji for toughing it out while running in pain. And to Abby for coming closer than ever to completing a cartwheel.
