Light run in the sunshine

May 11, 2019 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Wearing my hopper socks to support GDS from afar (today was ISL/MACs) I set off on a sunny Saturday morning job down the Tranzit toward Grbavica. I had an half hour therapeutic massage session with Nick Jasovic, a British long-distance runner and meditation instructor who treats the members of Trcanje i To running club. This was the first time I've gone to him, though I've long known he does this (he was one of the first people I met in club TiTo back in the fall as my roommate in Split). He found was he said was a tight spot in my opposite heel that was throwing me off balance. I don't know if I believe that's a real cause, but the comprehensive leg massage did feel good and he told me a couple exercies I could do. Ironically, I hardly felt the hamstring tendon at all on the jog over, nor did it bother me on the jog through the city afterward on a futile quest to find an open barbershop. The next morning it was bugging me again however when I ran down the hill from my apartment in a rush to get to the rental car place on time. But it didn't bother me at all the rest of the day. Maybe I just need to exercise it more, but gently.

In any case, I did enjoy the run more than I had several days ago.
