It's a beautiful day to set season records

May 19, 2019 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Ran to AU at 7:50 (!!!!) in the morning to do my 800 time trial. I was struggling to get out of bed because my Sunday routine does not include morning runs. The run to AU from my house is up a hill and I didn't feel great but once I got to the track to do moving dynamics I began to feel a little better. Moved surprisingly quickly through drills and had time to stretch out calves and IT band before striders.
The first lap felt super hard because I'm not used to racing 800s this season and thanks to some prompting from Anthony on the second lap I felt motivated to give everything on the back straight. Predictably I died a little bit on the last 200 but I gave it what I had. Despite being injured for the beginning of the season and not being able to run all of spring break because of it, I only ran a second off my all-time PR. I'm pretty proud of this end to the season and probably to the end of my GDS running career. Ran good.

Thank you Anthony and Jeff for pacing and everyone who wished me well before the race! (@Leah, I got your email on my walk back from AU after the time trial lol)
