Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Lauren met me—very promptly!—for a run this morning. It was beautiful out and we went into the Melvin Hazen trail. Made it through the first section fine, crossed Connecticut and started on the second where after only 14 minutes of running, my right ankle gave out in a glorious roll and I gracefully tumbled onto my left shin. It was a move of choreographed genius. Lauren pointed and laughed and ran off leaving me to crawl home in pain.
JK, she was very nice and walked back with me. Sad we couldn't run longer, but it was such a bad roll that the tendon hurts all the way down to the bottom of my foot and my shin didn't bleed, but the fall basically just scraped a bunch of layers of skin off, so it stings a lot. I think the rocks are conspiring with your bush against us, Ana. I iced much later at home, but probably not soon enough for it to do much. I think I'll be fine in a few days, but it was not the most pleasant experience, though was made better by Lauren's company!
