Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Rainy
Comments:
It was raining today which I wasn’t sure I would enjoy running in, but I was very wrong. We went to a park in Summerset to do warm ups then we ran to Norwood park. I went to elementary school right next to Norwood park so we had field day every year there. Well today we got there and did some striders through the giant puddles and jumped around in the water. We were doing 6-10 200s through the park, with a 300ish jog back to the start. Right where we were running was where the 60 yard dash and the “soccer ball kick” was for field day. I think I got second in the soccer kick one year. I never placed in the run though. Anyway we placed ourselves into groups. At first we were in a pretty big group but it spread out after one or two so that it was me, Matt Siff, Ella, Annie, Arthur, Ethan Wolin, and Noah Weitzner. The 200s were super super fun and I really enjoyed hearing the wind move against my ear. It sounded like wooooooooshhhh wooooooooshhhh. Maybe that’s there all the time, but I only noticed it today. We were soaked the entire time and before every 200 I squeezed out my shirt. Arthur, who announced at the beginning “I can’t cut anyone off today since we’re not on a track!” very happily, managed to cut people off in a giant field. Oh well it was funny. After 10 Annie, Ella, and I ran back to school. We talked about running and ISLs and school. It’s always nice to talk during a run.
I have no idea what the 200 splits were, but it felt very nice to do something faster even though it was super muddy. The first one was around 34-5 I think.
