I'm kindof a big deal around the office. 5k-ish at the fitness center at work was hosting a 5k/1mile walk and like 100 people showed up. We collected a truck's worth of canned food for the food bank. Great stuff.
Anyway, did a progression run and as expected took it out too quick. Think it was still a great tempo effort.
1st mile aiming for 6:30 and ran it in 6:17
2nd mile aiming for 6:10 and clocked in at 6:00
last mile hit 6:02 (but I got stuck behind a group of walkers on a bridge and probably walked for like 10 seconds). Also it was more than a 5k and the last .36 miles were in 5:52 pace
Came through with the win so that was pretty sick
