It’s race day today!! Got out of English early while the class was going over my paper, awko taco. But I was excited to run! I wasn’t nervous at all which is slightly unusual but something about episcopal meets are very calming. We got there and warmed up for the 4x800 with Annie, Ziyah, and Abby. We were behind visi the whole race and I was the anchor leg. I was waiting to see the green jersey around the corner and on the third lap I saw it. So I sprinted towards the girl and passed her at the end, she kept running and that is when I realized this wasn’t a visi girl. She was just another green uniformed school. So yeah we didn’t catch visi, but that’s okay we’ll get them later in the season. I ran a 2:28 which is 8 seconds faster than Saturday which seems about right because that race felt slow and weird. But I am very surprised that I ran that time this early in the season. But it’s exciting! Annie PRed in the 800 today!! I cooled down with Abby after the race. Then Annie hadn’t cooled down so, having nothing better to do like study for my bio test, I went with her and the boys 4x8 team on their cool down. Then I sat and talked to some freshman who I haven’t been able to talk to very much since they practice with the sprinters. And then it was time for the 4x400, we warmed up and we were the third heat. We waited and then we ran. I was third leg. I don’t really have anything to say about the race bc it was just a normal 400 I don’t know. It felt fast and I was very tired by the end. Sorry to anyone who saw my 400 finishing face at the end there. I ran a 62 which I was extremely surprised about since I was just hoping I could pull out a sub 67 or something today. It was a fun day. And I have to go study now.
