Splish, Splash!

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Ran w/ Sophie, Abby, Camilla, Arthur, Ruby, Ella, and Annie and was later joined by Corbin. The run included a detour through the American University academic buildings, a tour of the bleachers lining the AU track, a somewhat semi-existant path through some backyards abutting the playing fields, a vain attempt to set off a speed radar display by charging it en masse, and an inadvertent loop through spring valley that landed us right back on Rockwood Street where we'd started. On the way back to GDS Abby, Corbin, Sophie, and Arthur, and I split off because Arthur wanted to stop by the Middle C on Wisconsin Ave (where my friends Rob and Zak once had their first concert), but Abby had other ideas. I made her dreams come true by allowing us to cross the street via Metro tunnel and then let her lead the rest of the run which she was determined not to let end. We detoured around Ft. Reno where Corbin briefly wiped out in the mud, then down past Liam and Ilana's house, and finally up behind school where we cut in along the new sprint track. Abby was so caught up in the running spirit however we continued running through the school building, up the fish stairs to the third floor, and back around to the 42nd street doors before ending where everyone else had almost finished stretching. I should add that there was a lot of puddle stomping on this run of which I am both guilty and victim. It was also 38 degrees or my head was cold for lack of a hat. Just what a winter track run should be!
