A little bit extra

January 9, 2020 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Cold

Comments:
Went out on the Meredith Alexander loop by starting on river and heading towards the CCT. Pace was a bit quick but I felt good so I went with it. Knee was not happy and hands were frozen solid from the start. Didn’t want to make the run too long because I’m only just starting training so I turned on Dorset. As I was running up the hill I thought I saw Annie, Ella, and Ruby, but wasn’t sure so I didn’t say anything (Turns out I was right). Turned right towards GDS (Surrey street) at the top of the Dorset hill in hopes of taking a neighborhood road that paralleled Wisconsin to make my run short enough that it was around my goal of 25 mins. Instead the road (Surrey—> Falstone—> Warwick) looped me back to Dorset and I ended up one block down the hill from where I had turned right: a little bit extra. Stopped at a light on Wisconsin and ran into a bunch of GDS runners so I must have, by chance, taken the same route they had. Finished the run with Charlie, Siff, Leo, and Herman at that same brisk pace I had started off. It’s weird, running faster with other people feels WAY easier and slower than that exact same pace alone. For my 3rd run into training I was kind of shocked at how good I felt when I was dipping sub 7 and holding it around there for most of the run. Getting MRI next week I think so hopefully my training plan isn’t destroyed.
