Comments:
This log isn't very interesting, but if you're looking for Matt adventure stories, I've finally started backlogging to the start of the year, so check out Sunday's entry where I ran a true British cross country race at Wimbledon (home of the tennis tournament).

Two-mile warmup then 2-3-2-4-3-5-3-4-2-3-2-1-2 minutes pickups with 1-minute recoveries each time. Wow, apparently that adds up to 36 minutes of hard running. Good thing I wasn't keeping track at the time or I might have stopped sooner. It started off as a Fartlek but then turned into a ladder of sorts: you can see it's symmetrical except for the extra 1-2 at the end. I had forgotten if I had started it that way or not. The busy streets of Islington were not a great place for pickups as I had to make sharp turns when I came to red lights and occasionally swerve around obstacles. Towards the halfway point in the workout, I managed to steer myself over to Highbury Park where I spent the second half of the workout taking the streets and paths through it in various iterations. Apparently I was averaging around 6 minute pace or better during the miles I was doing the pickups, including the recoveries, so it turned out to be a solid though not exhausting pace. Pleased I managed to get some aerobic work in.
