Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Ran with Jacob and Mark at AU the morning before I flew to London. Jacob was supposed to do 8x1000m with 200m recoveries. I hung with him for the first three, flagged on the third one, then announced I was going to call it quits after one more. He encouraged me to take the lead which I did and ran faster than I had on all the others. Could I have done all 8? Certainly. Not sure if I had that pace in me, because honestly, it was my motivation more than my fitness that was lagging. I really just haven't "bought-in" to the notion that I'm training again and need to push myself. But if I want a better Boston marathon than last year, this is what it's going to take. I did jump in for the last 400m with them, however.
Mark, do you still have a job? Glad to have you as a running companion in the middle of a Monday morning, of course.
Went with Jacob to Steak and Egg Kitchen afterward and had a giant steak and eggs, and a milkshake. All I ever needed in life after a semi-tough workout.
