What is the cost of the status quo?

February 12, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Been thinking about what direction I want to take the next 3 years of my life. I go back and forth all the time and can't seem to land on a concrete decision.
And I heard a good quote just now "What is the cost of the status quo?" And I'd like to think about that for a bit. I really like how things are in Cleveland right now but what are the long term costs of that? What are the alternatives? What changes could I be making to the status quo to set me up for the future?
Not sure where I'm going with all this. But talking with Tony about training for the Cleveland marathon has me thinking.
Winter also isn't ideal for speed/mile training. Fast track workout Thursday looks like it's gonna be a cold, snowy one.

As for this run, we added in 4x30 sec downhill striders on edgehill. They felt mega smooth and relaxed going at this speed down a pretty steep hill. Legs didn't really feel super tired after.
Looking at splits from the striders looks like I covered about .11 miles and average paces were:
4:51
4:31
4:22
4:05
so that was a little faster than they should have been. Which is strange since they all felt pretty consistent.
