Welcome to winter running! Where the distance is made up and the times don't matter

February 13, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
In all seriousness though this was a great workout. But there was about 2 inches of windswept snow with a wet, icy track underneath. So it was mega slippery and I had no idea where the track was so I tended to take the turns wide.
Adding spikes really helped except my feet got a little cold and wet but it wasn't anything bad.
Workout was:
2x400@Mile pace (3 min rest)
[Spikes]
10x50m all out (2 min rest), rolling start
400 all out

Thought the first 400 felt like mile pace but we came through in 83.1 (was aiming for maybe 80 sec to account for snow)
But the next one which felt like the same effort came out to 78 so not sure what's up with that.

400 in 69.5 - felt pretty fast and relatively smooth but footing was tough. Legs were straining a decent amount.

All in all a real fun workout. Glad to get some good work in during a snowstorm.
