Got this in during lunch today and gave it a go on the treadmill. Was a little worried about going 5k pace on it but it worked pretty well actually.

Logistics wise I had the treadmill set to alternate between 3 mph and 11mph (5:27 pace) at the push of a button. This worked well except it took maybe 10 sec to get up to speed - so I kept track of distance starting from the time we were up to speed and started rest .5 miles from that. Because of that I don't have exact splits, I can just base off speed set for the reps (first two at 5:27, 3rd at 5:24 and last at 5:21)
Workout was 4x800 @ 5k pace 1 min rest

Honestly these felt really relaxed. Wasn't really working that hard at all this workout. I imagine going this quick on a treadmill is much easier than irl since it can sort of pull you along and there's no drag.

Anyway, this was supposed to be more of a shakeout effort so I think it fit the bill.

IT band still feeling sore but not inflamed or anything.
