Treadmill Tempo

Comments:
Did this one on the treadmill. Was nice because I could just lock the pace down and not get antsy too early. Plus there would always be a bathroom right there.
Workout was 5 mile tempo + 3x300@mile pace on 3 min rest.

Felt pretty good (didn't need bathroom fwiw). Did ~200m striders around 5:30 pace on the treadmill which worked pretty well, I was warm at the start of the tempo.
Set the pace at 6:14 and was feeling like I could handle a little quicker for the first few miles but I kept it conservative since this is the first 5 mile tempo I've done in a bit.
Ended up being the right call. Heartrate was hovering right around 160 through 3.5 miles. But right around there is where I started feeling the fatigue. Legs were getting a little tired but breathing remained relaxed. Heartrate started creeping up around 180 for the last mile and a half.
Still finished feeling pretty strong but I'm glad I didn't bump up the pace to start. Honestly really pumped I made it through 5 miles at tempo pace. Feeling pretty fit.

probably about 15 minutes to get in the car and drive to the track right nearby so just got a quick jog in to shake out a bit before the 300's.
splits on the 300's (was aiming for like 54): 49 (whoops), 55, 52.
legs straining the last 100m of these but still felt pretty strong.
