Greatly appreciated the opportunity to run with Kale Boy today. Ran down Reno and intercepted Noah K between Harrison and Fessenden. Took Harrison to Western and fell into the four mile loop. I suggested we bail on the hill and we cut past Turtle Park and took back way to Ellicot and ultimately Fesseden before splitting at Reno. I felt heavy legged and sluggish throughout. Counted my strides along Reno and found I was at 166 strides per minute. I then focused and adjusted to 174. Sure takes a lot of focus... but I sure can tell the difference. Pace for the final half mile was 7:15 but we certainly averaged around 7:50. Top of right knee was particularly achy today after not having been much of a factor for the past month.
I also did a 20 minute workout video with my daughter Anna earlier in the afternoon as her distance learning required she do it "with a parent." Can't say as I much enjoyed the endless dive bombers and push ups and mountain climbers as I dripped sweat on her bedroom floor. Still, I know it is good for me.
I was either dehydrated or I've taken off the five pounds I unnecessarily put on around the time of my hernia surgery/holidays.
