Linni and Kravitz! But sadly not Lenny Kravitz

March 21, 2020 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Ran with Linni around Kenwood under the cherry blossoms. And by "ran with" I mean we walked for a few minutes, stopped and talked with my parents who were walking the other direction, ran for a few minutes, stopped and had skype call with Linni's mom in Finland, walked some more, stopped Aiden and Sarah Pillard who were in the midst of some sort of sibling tempo run from the looks of it, walked some more while commenting on the ostentatious new multi-million dollar houses, and said goodbye and biked home. But then a second, sliiiiiightly run began when I met up with Noah Kravitz halfway between our parents' houses at Nevada and Nebraska. We ran a fairly random route out past Mazza toward Ft. Bayard, up Butterworth and some combination of streets till we crossed Mass into Spring Valley, south toward the scared leaf catching grounds and then down a side trail that turned out to be one of the Glover-Archibald parallel trails leading up to the 4th intersection, around closed off bottom of Glover on Canal Road, up through the Georgetown University campus dodging various construction projects, north to Garfield Street which we took all the way to AU and then back on Nebraska past Ward to Politics and Prose. I wasn't really paying much attention to how far we were going but I wasn't terribly surprised when I looked at my watch after we said farewell (from 6 feet) and saw that 90 minutes had elapsed. On the way home I *think* Ana and Julia's mom passed me in her car and waved, somewhere right near Rhianna's house. Now I'm home and actually a bit less sore than when I started. We kept up a good pace.

Gem of the day:

Me: Oh crap, this street isn't going to hit Wisconsin and it's taking up way down hill.
Noah: That's okay, we can just go back up again.

So simple and yet so wise...no wonder he's headed to Princeton for a Ph.D. in math this fall.
