Traveling with a photographer

March 24, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 50ish

Comments:
After waiting most of the morning for Leah to join us, she opted not to, and Anna and I set off together around 11:30am. She biked near me the entire way, except along the crescent trail when she went ahead and waited at Dorset. We went down Western to 49th to Glenbrook to Loughboro to Crescent to Dorsett to Cedar to home. Paused for photos at boundary stones at Fessenden and River, alongside crescent trail off Potomac Ave, and at 41st and Western. Obviously, I'd already reached the two nearby ones yesterday and had sketched them, but photos seemed good, and I thought people might appreciate that my long sleeve T-shirt is from the 1996 Georgetown 10km Road Race. (Not as old as my 1989 Georgetown 10km shirt, but older than most of you who are reading this log.) I've decided to hold off visiting NW Stone #5 until I a) get permission from the Army Corps of Engineers or b) have a full moon under which to work. Most likely option A because I don't break rules. I felt good at the start of today's run, but realized by mile #2 that my legs were plenty tired from the long run yesterday. I never felt terrible today, and my pace along the slow, uphill slope of the Crescent was between 7:40 and 7:30. (3:50, 3:47, 3:46, 3:45) It did feel like a quality run, and I was grateful for Anna's company and pleased to have gotten both an additional stone and a substantial run.
