Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Drove out to Rock Creek Park with the dog to hit the dirt trails there. I went at around 7 to avoid people which worked pretty well, but I still had to do a fair amount of stop and go. As a result of this, I forgot to start my watch on more than one occasion. The GPS was definitely iffy because once I got on the road the pace jumped quite a bit and I know by the feeling I was running faster than the watch was telling me. Once I exited the trails and was about 3/4 of a mile from the car, I tripped on a rock and got pretty scraped up on my knee, arms, hands, and chest. My left knee got scraped up the worst and I had blood going all the way down to my shoe. Multiple people passed me as I got up and not a single one stopped and asked if I was ok despite all the blood which was nice. After a minute or two of getting back my senses, I finished the run at a much faster pace in a desire just to get back to the car and get home to clean off the blood. Dropped the pace down to low sevens which actually didn't feel bad. Overall decent run if you ignore the fall and blood.
