I honestly wasn’t looking forward to this—after so much hard work this “season” I really wish I could’ve been out there on the track for a 5k with Oliver yesterday. Getting hurt less than a week before the time trial was certainly not part of the plan. But once I got on the bike today, I felt really motivated to give it everything I had, knowing all of my teammates were doing some sort of trial this weekend, whether a 5k on the track or something else. I think this went as well as it could’ve, and I felt like I really put as much as I could have into it. I even negative split most of the laps. Doing a time trial alone on a stationary bike is a really weird feeling that I hope I don’t have to feel again.
